Departing the St Eugene Mission on the St mary's River, this river trip consists of class 1 water, meaning lazy moving water. There's no chance of falling over board on this voyage, just lots of time to sit back, relax and soak up the great views, natural & cultural history of the area. Learn about the a traditional Ktunaxa people of the St Mary's band; you are assured a unique perspective on the this incredible area!
This trip ends arriving at Fort Steele interpretive centre, with the option to visit the grounds until your heart's content! Fort Steele is perched on the western slopes of the Rocky Mountains. Since it's gold rush beginnings in 1864, the village has gone from boomtown to regional centre to ghost town to one of the most important heritage attractions of its kind in British Columbia!
